The AQUA Logic Gravity Mini filter functions by means of gravity. The water flows slowly from the upper water reservoir, through the filter, into the lower water reservoir. Thanks to its compact size, it is ideal for camping, for example. The water reservoirs have a capacity of 1.6 liters each.

Taste experience

It is often said that there is no accounting for taste. Many users of this water filter find that the filtered water tastes better. Particularly when people suffer from chlorine in the water, this is reduced by the activated carbon and the taste is greatly improved. However, there are also users who find the filtered water tastes less pleasant. Basically, this water filter is intended to provide clean and safe drinking water in emergency situations.

The activated carbon consists of 100% organic material (coconut bark) and has a very high adsorption capacity for odor, color and taste, metals such as lead, as well as yeasts, chlorine, medicine residues and other chemicals.

Ultrafiltration membranes with a pore size of 0.03 microns

This filter is capable of producing safe and clean drinking water of high quality. The filter works without the addition of chemicals and is constructed from maintenance-free and corrosion-free parts.

Commissioning

Always look for the cleanest possible water source and preferably use the filter in a clean environment.

1. First of all, the recommended date of use of the filter element must be indicated on the supplied date sticker and must be visibly placed on the water filter. The recommended service life (with continuous use) is 1 year, after which the filter element must be replaced.

Note: The actual lifespan of the filter element depends on the degree of contamination in the water to be treated. As long as water comes out of the filter, it is suitable drinking water because it has been filtered through the ultra membranes, provided the water filter is used as explained in this user manual.

2. Before the filter can be used, the filter element must be completely saturated with water. Use the hose connector and the syringe for this. (You can choose to first install the filter element as described in point 3 (image A) or hang the filter element in a bucket of water (image B) to saturate the filter element with water.)

a. Attach the hose connector to the filter outlet and connect the syringe to the hose connector

b. Immerse the filter element completely in water

c. Then draw water into the syringe

d. Disconnect and empty the syringe to repeat several times until the water filter element is completely saturated with water.

3. The filter element can now be mounted in the water reservoir. Insert the filter spout, with a sealing ring attached, through the hole in the bottom of the water reservoir. Place a second sealing ring around the filter outlet and tighten the union nut securely.

4. Place the two water reservoirs on top of each other and fill the top one with the water to be purified.

5. First flush a new filter element with 2 to 3 liters of water. After this, the filtered water is suitable for consumption.

Maintenance

A layer of water containing the sediment always remains in the dirty water reservoir. The purpose of settling is to remove undissolved particles from the water. If the density of the particles is greater than that of water, they move to the bottom under the influence of gravity. Discard this layer of water when refilling the water reservoir.

When the flow rate decreases, the filter element can be easily cleaned: The filter surface of the activated carbon cylinder can be sanded clean using the integrated Cleaning Pad. Then rinse the filter element with water.

Clean the water reservoirs regularly by washing them with soapy water and rinsing with clean water.

How to store after use

Wet: store the filter element in the refrigerator. We recommend adding Cosil47 Water Filter Disinfectant solution:

Fill the upper water reservoir with clean water (filtered) and add Cosil47 Colloidal silver as indicated in the Cosil47 user manual.

Allow the filter element to pass through and become saturated with it.

Dismantle the filter element and place it in a sealed container or bag and store it in the refrigerator.

First allow the filter element to be rinsed again before using it again.

Dry: Find a suitable place to let the filter dry without mold formation, but prevent the plastic caps from becoming heated, for example by a heater/radiator.
